We returned from Golden Boll with an award!

Yağmur Canpolat and Berna Oduncu, students of Izmir University of Economics, Department of Cinema and Digital Media, won the Best Documentary Film Award at the 31st International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival National Student Film Competition with their film "In My Early Twenties" which had been shot during the CDM232: Film Studio II class.

“In My Early Twenties”, which presents a portrait of young people in their early twenties living in Turkey through a combination of responses from interviews with a total of 15 people in Izmir and Istanbul, has previously won the Lands of Cinema Distribution Award at Directed by Women Turkey, as well as official selections at Gümüşlük Academy Foundation, International 2 Yaka Short Film Festival and Bornova Short Film Days.

After Çağıl Saydam, who won the Best Experimental Film Award in 2020 with “61 Sokak No 4” from CDM498: Graduation Project II course, and Ecem Çörtle, who was a finalist in the Animation Category with “The Galactic Treasure” from CDM302: Filmmaking II course in 2023, Yağmur and Berna returned from Golden Boll with awards, and kept the tradition of CDM's Golden Boll.
