A Partnership Agreement between the Department of Media and Communication and Izmir Journalists Association
The panel, composed of Misket Dikmen (Izmir Journalists Association ), Fatih Yapar (Ege’de Son Söz), Cemal Tükel (Ticaret Gazetesi), and Murat Attila (Gazete 9 Eylül), was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Doğu, head of the Department of Media and Communication.
The panel focused on the problems of the local media, molding public opinion, production of quality news and political economy of the media. Following the panel, a partnership agreement was signed between the Department of Media and Communication and Izmir Journalists Association with the participation of Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar, the rector of Izmir University of Economics.
